RDC Manager Opening

Job Description:

The Regional Distribution Center Manager leads all warehouse and distribution operations for a wholesale electrical supply distribution center. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, accurate, efficient, and timely receipt, storage, picking, packing, staging, and delivery of electrical products to branch locations and customers.  The manager provides leadership to distribution center personnel, maintains strong inventory and service standards, manages operating costs, and collaborates with sales, branch operations, purchasing, transportation, and vendors to support company goals. This is a safety sensitive position. 

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field preferred.  Significant experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or operations management.   Experience leading, developing, and holding accountable a warehouse or distribution team.   Experience in wholesale distribution; electrical distribution or industrial supply experience strongly preferred.  Strong working knowledge of inventory control, receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, warehouse safety, and material-handling practices.  Ability to interpret operational reports and use data to identify problems and improve performance.  Proficiency with warehouse management systems, Microsoft Office, and standard business software. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.  Ability to operate or become certified to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, as required.  Physical and Work Requirements: Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to changing temperatures, noise, dust, and moving equipment.  Ability to walk, stand, bend, climb, and move throughout the distribution center for extended periods.  Ability to lift or move materials within established company safety guidelines.  Availability to work adjusted hours as business needs require.
